Forever {Character Interview}

All I want is my happily-ever-after.
That's all I've wanted since meeting Noah Miller.
From the day we met, the world has tried to keep Noah and me from being together, but now that I'm carrying his child, no one will be able to tear us apart. Or so I hope. But Noah and I have made some mistakes along the way, and the consequences are impacting the people we love. Worse, there's a storm on the horizon, and it's sure to cause serious devastation.
If we can get through this, we'll finally be Rose and Noah; a family, forever.
But first we have to survive the road ahead. And happily-ever-after is a long way off

Character Interview
When you first met Rose, what was your initial reaction?
*The first moment I laid eyes on Rose she was scrapping with her brother, Justin, in the foyer.  She was dirty and soaking wet, exactly the opposite of any Amish girl I’d ever met, and she was….so beautiful.  Her robin egg blue eyes sparked a kind of fire I’d never seen before.  She was completely wild, holding nothing back, and that spunkiness drew me in, but also scared the hell out of me.  Never before had a girl stirred so many emotions inside of me.  I thought to myself, Damn, I finally meet an interesting girl, and she’s an outsider.

Y'all have been through a lot- is there anything that you could take back?
*Now, thinking back, so many things I’d change.  It took me a long while to realize what love really is.  I was selfish and expected things of Rose that I wasn’t ready to give myself.  It took nearly losing Rose forever to figure out what was really important to me.  God has his plans and I accept that it was meant to play out the way it did, but if I could, I’d take back the hurt I caused my family, friends and especially Rose.  But I’m meant to be with Rose and I wouldn’t change that for the world.

Describe Rose in 5 words!
Spunky, sweet, smart, beautiful, stubborn.

What's a typical day for you like?
*Most days, I’m up by five in the morning.  Mother has breakfast ready and after Father initiates a silent prayer, he’ll read a few passages from the bible.  Breakfast is usually a quiet affair, even with all the youngsters at the table.  We’re always so tired at that hour.  Mr. Denton picks Father and me up around six and I climb into the back seat of his old blue pickup truck beside my buddy, Matthew Weaver and brother, Jacob.  The days when we’re framing a house or barn up are my favorite, because we’re under the open sky and sunshine, but that part goes relatively quickly and I eventually find myself within the building putting drywall up and hanging doors.  With my family and friends hammering beside me, the work days go by quickly.  I’m usually in the barnyard around five in the afternoon and I’ll help my younger brothers with the chores and maybe even shoe a horse or two.  Finally, in the cool breeze of evening, I have some free-time and that’s when I saddle my horse up and head out to the fields to secretly meet Rose and go for a trail ride.  The moments I get to spend with her are the bright point of my days and they always end way too soon.  When darkness starts to settle over the corn fields, I’m back in at the house eating a large meal that Mother, Sarah and Rachel prepared.  Suppertime is always more lively in the Miller household with everyone excitedly recounting their days.  By the time my head hits the pillow at about nine at night I’m exhausted and can hardly keep my eyes open.  My last thoughts are always of Rose as I wonder what she’s doing at that same moment.

What is one thing you wish you could say to Rose or your family but you just can't?
*I could never tell my family that Rose is more important to me than any of them now.  For a long time I wasn’t sure about my feelings, but after everything Rose and I have gone through to be together, I’ve come to realize that she’s my entire life.  I guess Mother and Father probably understand.  They’re own love is quiet, but very strong.  It’s not something that I’ll ever speak out loud, but it’s in my thoughts now and then and accepting it has given me peace of mind about my decisions.
