What is this all about?

Ever since she was a little girl learning to make decadent truffles in her family's chocolate shop, Juliet Arabella has been aware of the bitter feud between the Arabellas and the Mezzanottes. With their rival chocolate boutiques on the same street in Napa Valley, these families never mix. Until one night, when Juliet anonymously attends the annual masquerade ball. In a moonlit vineyard, she finds herself falling for a gorgeous stranger, a man who reminds her what passion is like outside of the kitchen. But her bliss is short-lived when she discovers her masked prince is actually Leo Mezzanotte, newly returned from Paris and the heir to her archenemy's confection dynasty.

With her mind in a whirl, Juliet leaves for Italy to represent the Arabellas in a prestigious chocolate competition. The prize money will help her family's struggling business, and Juliet figures it's a perfect opportunity to forget Leo…only to find him already there and gunning for victory. As they compete head-to-head, Leo and Juliet's fervent attraction boils over. But Juliet's not sure whether to trust her adversary, or give up on the sweetest love she's ever tasted...

Who doesn’t like chocolate? I mean seriously? And if you think you don’t, you just haven’t found the right chocolate yet. Unless you’re allergic, there’s no excuse for you to not like it. That’s just how it is. And that’s what this book is about. CHOCOLATE. Okay. Fine. Not all about the yummy sweet stuff, but it is what made these two families at ends for so many generations. The Mezzanotte and Arabella families. This modern Romeo and Juliet had me swooning at the forbidden love, needing to go to Italy and wanting to get a job as a chocolatier. I mean guys. *swoons to death* I just can’t even . . . OH! And this book made me want to learn Italian. Like now. This is what novels do to me y’all.

"Let's just say there's more peril in your kiss than twenty swords" (ARC).

In UNMASKING JULIET, we have two chocolate makers from two families with a feud. They meet at a ball: her in a ball gown with her bare feet in the grape orchard dirt and him in a mask wishing to be anywhere but there. They kiss and things are never the same. Also I swoon. I mean Leo. Just. Leo. This story loosely follows the well-known play Romeo and Juliet. And I love it. There are some quotes in it (Violent desires/ violent ends) that just make their story better. Anyways, after the kiss, they continue their falling in secrets surrounded by chocolate and adorable pooches.

"The future was written in the stars, and there was nothing either of them could do to change it. But she didn't want to think about the future right now. For tonight she wasn't an Arabella. She was his" (ARC).
This book y’all. It’s rather perfect. I giggled and swooned and marked more places on my Wanderlust list. Some of them? Altare de la Patria, Tomb of the Unknown Solider, Piazza de Spanga. I mean, yes please. I loved the family in this book, even if they were a tad idiotic and judgmental at time, they were still close. I loved the chocolate in this book and how that hot chocolate recipe was so much for than a hot chocolate recipe. I loved how the café au lait. . . was a whole lot more than café au lait. What can I say…I like romantic secrets.  *shrugs*

Also, I loved the chocolate kisses and stolen glances and balloon ride.

Besides all that, the thought of you not reading this book makes me sad.

So I really hope you read it. I really really really do. Please?

Tell me everything you're thinking. Are you one of those people who haven't found our kind of chocolate yet? I can give you some suggestions!!
