What's it all about...?

If you want to survive, you have to follow the rules…

Mikayla Morgan is wanted for her mother's murder. She's been on the run for almost a year now, avoiding not only the police but the real killer. Tired of running and desperate to clear her name, she breaks one of the most sacred rules: never return to the scene of the crime.

Every bounty hunter on the Eastern Seaboard is after the Morgan girl—but Shaun Denver and his partner snagged her. She's a piece of work, and Shaun can't decide if he wants to kiss her or kill her. When things take a sharp turn south, Shaun does the only thing he can think of to keep her close—he handcuffs them together.

As the danger mounts and the killer closes in, the chemistry between them threatens to explode. Shaun and Kayla will need to break all the rules if they hope to get out of this alive.

He let go and raised our cuffed hands. "This is kinda the best thing that's ever happened to me." (ARC)

How many ways can I tell y’all I love this book to pieces? I mean, for real. This book was not what I expected at all. It was so much fun. It was filled with danger, rules and tentative romance. It was adorable and had me holding my breath. I mean, a few of the situations they were in had me a bit scared for them. I mean, some of those people were just plain crazy. You know what would go great with this book? Rocky road ice cream. Because lordy did they have a rocky road, but it was also sweet and well . . . yummy.

When Kayla’s mother is killed, she has to run. Much like she’s been doing her entire life. But this time is different. This time someone is after her. When she breaks one of her mother’s biggest rules, don’t return to the scene of the crime, to get something her mother left that could clear her and her mother’s name, she gets caught. Caught in more ways than one. Every one, meet Shaun.

Who is this Shaun character? Welp. He, for a fact is totally swoon worthy. OH! And in the beginning he was going to turn her in with Patrick (his father figure/ partner in crime) to Sir Crazy Pants for a whole lotta money. Long story short, (and as stated in the synopsis) he handcuffs them together. The chemistry between them is undeniable. At first, he thinks of her as a mission. Then, he’s fascinated by her and her story. And then BOOM! SPARKS! LOTS OF NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES! SECRETS! PASSION! PEOPLE TRYING TO KILL THEM!

*Evil Cackle* And I LOVE it! Love love love it.

This story is more than two people handcuffed together trying to escape death. It about learning to trust, for both of them. And god is it gorgeous. This book is a perfect summer read.

Just don’t forget the rocky road ice cream!

So how do you feel about bounty hunters?
