Wow. It’s been forever since I’ve read a book that wasn’t purely for review purposes. And I have to admit, I’ve been looking forward to this one for a while. I mean I actually bought this one. I know. Kindle Freebie Stalker (me) bought this book. I thought this was an interesting tale about three realms, family, and a quest to bring back the old ways, all while discovering who you are falling in love. This girl has her plate full.

I really liked Eshie’s character. She had fire, even if her (essentially) insta-love with the demon prince was a little too convenient, even if he was hot as hades and has freaky cool bat wings. And is possessive in a kind of hot way. I mean what. *chuckles* Eshie’s friend Nam was honestly my second favorite character, only to her bet bat. Who is quite sassy. I WANT A SASSY MINDMELDING PET BAT!! OFF TO COSTCO I GO! BECAUSE THEY HAVE EVERYTHING! Besides those characters, we also have the slap-worthy queen and king and Eshie’s brother and sister. They we’re all pretty average. I hate the queen though.

The world building in PRINCESS OF DEATH was fantastic. I could see everything. The light, the dark and the gray. I love the dark. Everything is so sinister, but the people are still themselves. You know what I mean? They’re more seductive and deadly, but a lot of them are essentially good. Like Eshie.

Let’s chat about grammar and spelling and word choice a bit though. That needs some fixing. Please.

Overall, this was a wonderful, unique book and I will totally read the next installment in this series!
