DIY Bookish Snack: Honey Baked Figs

Welcome to another edition of DIY Bookish Snacks! You are looking mighty lovely today. Figs! They are in season right now! How fantastic is that? Are you looking forward to eating these velvety, floral bunches of yum-tastic?

Of course you are! What a silly question.

Today, my lovely readers, we are making honey-baked figs. This is pretty much the easiest thing to make ever. I say that at every one of these posts, don't I? Well, they are easy! Promise.

Okay, so before you do ANYTHING, set your oven to bake on 350. Let it warm up while you're doing the prepping.

Take a few washed figs and slice them in halves. I did 4 of them.

Get out a tray, put foil on the tray, and then set the halves on the tray. No touching. Them touching is less than fantastic.

WOW! You're doing fantastic.

Now, get out some honey. I used about a spoonful of honey for each half of a fig. You're going to drizzle the honey over the figs.

Sprinkle a small pinch of salt on each of the figs.

When that lovely little oven of your is all heated up, go ahead and slide the tray of figs into the oven. Set a timer for 10 minuets. When these 10 minuets are up, switch the position of the tray so that the figs that were facing the front of the oven are now facing the back of the oven.

Bake for another 5 minuets.

I would eat them warm. Maybe with some vanilla ice cream. Or some chocolate. Chocolate is good on everything.

Have a lovely rest of your day.
