Summary: Kiora thought she had
never heard a lie until she was sixteen. But she was wrong. Her entire
existence was based on nothing but. She thought that evil did not exist.
Lie. That magic was not real. Lie. And that the land of Meros was all
there was. One more lie.
With Aleric telling her that evil is knocking on the door and that she is the only one who can stop them she has a choice to make. Refuse, or start the wildest most painful ride of her life.
She reluctantly dips her toe into her new existence of magic and threads, dragons and shapeshifters, and the person who wants to take control of it all: the evil Dralazar.
However, this journey was never meant to be hers alone. She will be accompanied by a Protector. To her disbelief, and utter irritation they name the hotheaded, stubborn, non -magical, (albeit gorgeous) Prince Emane. They will have to trust each other with their lives, but right now Kiora would settle for a non hostile conversation.
And now it comes down to this, If you had never heard a lie, would you know when you heard one? Is knowing good from evil innate? Kiora finds herself having to decide who lives and who dies on those very questions.

Ummmm,
let's see, what do we have here? Hot protector? Check. Strong female
lead that will save the world? Check. Lots of fantastical creatures that
I wish lived here on our humble earth society? CHECK!
Yup. This book has everything. I cannot believe I marked this as a 'maybe' on my Kindle. I totally wish I read it sooner. Yes, I did, indeed, devour it in one (yes, one) day. It was that good of a book.
This book was all over discovering who you are, what you want and the power of choosing who you are and who you want to be.
It has dragons *eeps!!!*
So basically there is a lovely village girl who is going to save the world and fall in love with the prince (her protector). She can communicate with Pegasus and will lead an army of shapeshifters, guardians and loads of magical people. She has a purpose that not even she knows.
To............
So should you read this?
Yes. If you don't....
Then maybe life doesn't have a purpose anymore. Just saying. *shrugs*

This is the first book in the November Blue series.
Scars from her first love and the reckless lifestyle of her parents force Ember Harris to chart a new course. She favors practicality over spontaneity and rules over a broken heart.
An encounter with a musician at a local pub forces Ember into making a decision to let go or hold on for dear life as passions are unlocked and deceptions revealed.
Wow.
It's been forever since I've reviewed a book. What can I say? I've been
in a reading slump. It's been horrible. Way too much TV
Okay so here it goes (hope I remember this book):
November has had a pretty strange life- hippie parents who are big in the music world, moving from school to home school. But, she gets her heart broken by the guy who she thought would be her forever. One night while walking home she sees a fight and goes to help one of the injured guys. (this is major later in the story and I totally saw it coming)
There's this club that has karaoke and man can this girl sing. Then there's this lovely hot amazing guy that sings to her soul.
Yes her soul.
But he has a secret. Doesn't everybody these days?
Just when she thinks everything is perfect her ex (the one that ripped her heart to pieces, threw it into a fire and danced around the fire singing happy songs) wants her back. He's all sweet and kind and caring.
Her heart is torn and she has her ever-faithful friend to lean on.
Then she finds out the secret.....

Okay. Not telling y'all anymore. Hehe
I loved this, if you can't tell by the raving 5 stars. I really don't know how to describe it's awesomeness. It's just...yeah.
The writing style was perfect. The drama was not over done and artistically woven throughout the novel. It was free on kindle. Yay(:
The characters spoke to me. Yes I cried. Shut up. No I will not tell you why. This book messed with me. *shrug*

Feature Follow #2
Hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read, as a great way to find new book blogs!
Okay I have seen these two questions on everyone's blogs : The one below and Biggest Emotional Scene...so I did them both *shrugs*
Q: Fight! Fight! If you could have two fictional characters
battle it out (preferably from books), who would they be and who do you
think would win?
A: That's a hard one! I think I would have Patch from Hush, Hush and Kai from Sweet Evil battle it out. My money would be on Kai. Patch is a fallen angel but Kai is the son of the Duke of Lust.
Q: Tell us about the most emotional scene you’ve ever read in a book – and how did you react?
A: I know how cliche this answer is, but no book has ever made me cry like
The Fault in Our Stars did. You spend the whole entire book falling in love with
the character and then the cancer
takes him away. I'm not a big crier.....but that book made me sob.
What about you?

Waiting on Wednesday
"Waiting On" is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating. Maybe more like books that haven't come out yet that we would kill (okay maybe not kill....hit with a brick?) to get.
Sweet Peril: Wendy Higgins
Anna Whitt, the daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself she’d never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She’d been naive to make such a vow. She’d been naive about a lot of things.
Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school’s party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.
When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?
For everyone who doesn't know who this is, this is Kai. Now excuse me as I fangirl for a second.
*fans self manically* swooooon
D-d-do you see this mission control? Breathe in....breathe out...breathe in...breathe out.
KAI!!!KAI!!! I LOVE YOU!!!(: I SIGH FOR KAI:DDD
(flutters eyes lashes but end up looking like there's a bug in my eye)
Okay. I'm back. If this picture doesn't convince you to read this...I don't know what will. I really don't
What are you Waiting On?

Here it goes:
*The Season by Sarah MacLean “Men are not nearly as evolved as women are, nor as intelligent, evidently”
So folks. I have indeed narrowed it down and I will say no more cuz I'm only supposed to do 10.

Summary: Donate Body to Science. Check.
When seventeen-year-old Kaitlyn checked the box, she never suspected she’d have her life–and her body–stolen from her. She awakens one day in a secret laboratory to discover that her body is now half-robot and is forced to hide her own secret: that she still has human emotions and a human mind. If the scientists who made her find out, they’ll erase what remains of who she was.
Kaitlyn finds an unlikely ally in Lucas, a handsome, brilliant scientist who can’t get over the guilt he feels knowing she was once a vibrant, beautiful young woman. He never expected a science project to affect him the way she does. As he tries to help her rediscover her past, he finds himself falling for the brave girl struggling to find her place and acceptance between the human and computer worlds

(at the end of the book) I suspect a love triangle for the next book in the series!!! YAY(:
I read an expert of the book
a while ago and have been waiting for this for what seems like forever.
Kaitlyn is such a strong character. After all shes been through she has
the ability to hope, to be herself (even if she doesn't know who that
is), she has emotions. I though their love was a little too fast. It was
like as soon as he found out she had emotions and could feel after all
they had done to her, he wanted to make out with her.
"You weren't programmed to want me either, Kate, but here we are. There's an attraction between us that even science can't destroy"
Honestly, even
though I found their love sweet, I found him annoying. Boy genius falling for his creation. Does that sound creepy to you? He upgrades her making her less and less human. He does it against her will. Grrrr....Lucas, away. -_-
Oh yeah he's doing it all for her good-but hes also stealing away what she has left of humanity. Bleh.
After this book I have a new appreciation for:

pinky-promises
facial expressions
memories
and just humanity in general
Kaitlyn/Cassidy/Kate is not bitter at all. I love how shes all formal and has no clue what all the slang words mean. It hilarious hearing her trying to figure them out.

Summary: "Mom always told me
there are two kinds of love in this world: the steady breeze, and the
hurricane. Emerson Ray was my hurricane...."
Juliet McKenzie was an innocent eighteen-year old when she spent the summer in Cedar Cove—and fell head over heels in love with Emerson. Complicated, intense Emerson, the local bad boy. His blue eyes hid dark secrets, and just one touch could set Juliet ablaze. Their love was demanding and all-consuming, but when summer ended, tragedy tore them apart. Juliet swore she’d never go back, and she’s kept that promise… Until now.
Four years later, Juliet’s done her best to rebuild the wreckage of her shattered life. She’s got a great boyfriend, and a steady job planned after she graduates. Returning to Cedar Cove to pack up her family’s beach house to prepare it for sale, Juliet is determined that nothing will stand in the way of her future. But one look from Emerson, and all her old desire comes flooding back. He let her go once, but this time, he’s not giving up without a fight. And Emerson fights dirty.
A heartbreaking history. An unstoppable passion. Torn between her past and future, Juliet struggles to separate love from desire. But will they find a way to overcome their tragic secrets—together? And after so much damage has been done, can a love remain unbroken?

THEY'RE ALL IDIOTS!! *laughs hysterically* authors these days seem to love making the heroes and heroins seem like they have no brains and they actually enjoy throwing themselves into completely...just no. (shouting to aliens who are reading this book) THERE ARE SANE HUMANS ON EARTH!! I SWEAR!
What I was expecting: an epic love story that would be kinda like Fallen too Far- a book which I adore. Adore.
What I got: Not that
SO basically I can't decide if I need to bash Emerson's face in or just ruffle his hair. Juliet seemed so...desperate. It was really kinda pathetic. I honestly don't know why I'm being nice and giving it 3 stars. It has such amazing ratings. Disappointed to say the least.
To be honest my favorite part was the prologue. The whole hurricane/summer breeze thing was beautiful and special and amazing. Buuuuut it gave me false hope about how amazing this book would be (it really wasn't)
Okay. Emerson is supposed to be this drop dead sexy guy with a gorgeous body, right? So why is the supposed Emerson on the cover kinda wimpy looking? Or is it just me? I dunno anymore. He doesn't have decent abs or arms. Sad Face Two bad books in a row is just too many for poor Jackie....
Other than the prologue, I didn't like it.
BELOW IS A QUOTE FROM THE PROLOGUE. SEE? FALSE HOPE.
“You see a hurricane coming, you run.” My mom told me, the summer I turned eighteen.
“You shut the doors, and you bar the windows. Because come morning, there’ll be nothing but the wreckage left behind.”
Emerson Ray was my hurricane. "

With
this book, I felt like I had fallen into Twilight but instead of Edward
there-it was Mr. Darcy with fangs. Humm. Eeeks. Ahhh..this book took me
longer to finish than I expected and that was because I just wasn't all
that into it. Yes there were some "Awwwhh. How much more adorable can
this get!?" (Always knowing what she wants to eat. Hey for me that is a
major turn on. I'm a picky eater.) But there were
some...questionable...to say the least..things so be said about her
thought process. She described his breath...him breathing his skanky
vampire breath on her as more intimate than kissing.
Um. To each her own. I guess.
To all you Twilight reader out there, I'm gonna use some Twilight references below..so cover your eyes, or something.
Lucas and evil, jealous ex-lover chick reminded me of James and Victoria. Except scorned lover did a total James move using Danielle as a doll.
I don't have much else to say about this book. Personally I was very disappointed. The whole curse thing was a major let down and everything fizzled out.
Ooooh....did I mention in the next book there's (wait for it) werewolves!! Jacob, anyone?

Summary:
A huge fan of Jane
Austen, Danielle hopes to find her own Mr. Darcy when she leaves
Colorado to attend art school in London. Of course she knows it's silly
to wish for that, naive even. But she's met enough males who lacked
respect for women, a growing trend it seemed. And at nineteen...well....
However, on only her second night there she gets lost and is threatened
by a stalker who proves to be immune to her martial arts training.
Before she is completely overpowered, she is then saved by Ethan
Deveroux.
While Danielle does find the romance she seeks in Ethan, he's no Mr. Darcy. Her hero is held by a spell which fractures their chance at a happy ending. During the day Ethan is closer to mortal than immortal and can date her like any other man. Yet, as the sun sets, the powerful magic of an ancient curse returns and the evil of that spell is revealed. When that magic begins, Danielle's fairytale romance ends because Ethan Deveroux is a vampire.

Thoughts so far:
Well, I feel like I've been sucked into Twilight with Mr. Darcy with fangs. :/ Yeah not really sure how I'm reacting to this right now. I think it's rather strange but cute. Except for those moment when she's all like "Ohhhhh he is just soo hard to resist! I just fall into his eyes! The way he smells(: I don't care if he wants to suck my blood, he took me to see faries and I just looooove him"<----Yeah those moments make me want to slap her. Hard. SNAP OUTTA IT GURLIE!
And there was that onee scene where the chick who turned him and did a total James (from Twilight) move with the whole 'let's act like the breakable human is a doll and throw her against hard surfaces! FUN!" *eye roll*
Lol(: According to my Kindle I am 55% done with it, but I have tons of HW from school, so I don't really know when I'll be done.

Feature and Follow
Follow Friday is a weekly blog hop event hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.
This week's Question is:
Q: What is your guilty pleasure as far as reading? Is it a genre, or is it a certain type of book?
Q: What is your guilty pleasure as far as reading? Is it a genre, or is it a certain type of book?
A: Reading? Guilty?! Never! Okay, maybe... I wouldn't say the genre or type of book makes me guilty. Huh. Okay, I have to finish a book if I start it at night. So. Yeah. Can't read at night anymore. There is only so much make up can do.
It cannot de-zombiefy me. Not by any stretch of the imagination.

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
Published September 18th 2012 by Scholastic Press
ISBN: 0545424925 (ISBN13: 9780545424929)
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Summary:
“There are only two reasons a non-seer would see a spirit on St. Mark’s Eve,” Neeve said. “Either you’re his true love . . . or you killed him.”
It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive.
Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her.
His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.
But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can’t entirely explain. He has it all—family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he’s looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little.
For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore.

Well, let's just start out with books make me make horrible decisions. I am so freaking tired right now. So much that you cannot, my dear reader, even comprehend. *yawns* (my face just fell in a bowl of yogurt if you're wondering) Okay, well I guess I better get to reviewing this book.
I loved it even though it confused the crap out of me. The whole obsession, half-dead people, boyfriends-who-are-not-boyfriends, and creepy teachers and relatives thing just messed me up. So basically this girls kiss kills. Its not poison or anything. When she kisses her twoo love, that is basically a prediction that he will die.
Who is going to die (or is already dead-ish)? Gansey. (You might think this is a 'oh that is such a spoiler' but, people, it's really not at all. Blue (awesome name by the way) is my favorite character by far in this book. She's a strong female lead and I like it. She doesn't take anyone's shit and speaks what she thinks. She does what she thinks is right.
I love the latin trees and all the AMAZING (I even spelled it right its so awesome) images she shows everybody. Mmmmm. Why in the world, Blue, are you with Adam. Okay so that might have been a teensy spoiler. Hey, I never said if she ended up with him. I just want her and Gansey together so bad. So bad. Even the trees are on my side! Even if I can't decide if I actually like Gansey yet. He's a bit of the...um...uptight-ish, richy, obsessed side. WITH GOOD INTENTIONS!
I have a sneaky feeling that Ronan is creepier that he lets on. And he seems to be letting a lot of creepy show. Pet raven anyone?
Well....let's just go with I have a feeling he'll make all the human sacrifice (yes, I did just type that) in this book seem minor. Ew. Fun stuff.
Grape juice for and looking glass and Butternut. Hehe
Anyway, I definitely recommend this.

TFIOS Movie
Wow. I am just now hearing of this. I feel so out of touch...
Source:http://insidemovies.ew.com/2013/03/19/shailene-woodley-fault-in-our-stars/
Shailene Woodley has been offered the role of Hazel Grace Lancaster in the adaptation of John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars.
“During our exhaustive search to find Hazel Grace Lancaster, I saw some stunning auditions by today’s finest young actresses,” director Josh Boone tells EW in an exclusive statement. “Over 250 girls read for the part, but it wasn’t until Shailene stepped in front of the camera that I truly saw Hazel for the first time. It was like lightning striking. I can’t wait for the rest of the world to see what I have.”
The best selling The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (and an EW Best Fiction of 2012 pick) tells the story of Gus and Hazel, two teenagers who meet in a cancer support group and fall in love. (From the EW review: “Their ensuing love story is as real as it is doomed, and the gut-busting laughs that come early in the novel make the luminous final pages all the more heartbreaking.”)
Producer Wyck Godfrey (who knows a little something about adapting popular YA novels to the big screen as he worked on all the Twilight movies) says, ”When choosing the writers, director and now our first actor for Fault we’ve gone with the people that have had the strongest, most emotional and insightful connection to the material. Shailene’s love of the book and dedication to the character was evident in not only her pursuit of the role but her delivery of the essence of Hazel in her audition. I have no doubt that she will deliver a Hazel that will floor both fans of the book and those who have yet to be introduced to the transcendent story of The Fault in Our Stars.”
“I am absolutely thrilled that Shailene will be playing Hazel in The Fault in Our Stars,” John Green says. “It means a lot to me that she is a fan of the book, and I know from our conversations that she has a profound understanding of Hazel. Watching her audition, I felt like Hazel Grace Lancaster was talking to me. It was eerie–and very exciting.”
Questions:
Who do you think should play Augustus?
Do you like who they chose for Hazel Grace?
Dream Cast?
What do you think about TFIOS becoming a movie?
What movie of John Green's do you most want to become a movie (if any)?
What scene so they absolutely have to include in the movie or you will be disappointed beyond belief?

Rippler by Cindey Swanson
Published
June 15th 2011
by Williams Press
(first published May 26th 2011)
ASIN: B0052ZLUQQ
Rating: 3 Stars
Summary:
Samantha Ruiz has a
freak gene that makes her turn invisible, or ripple. She can’t control
it, and it’s getting worse. Afraid of becoming a lab-rat, Sam keeps her
ability secret, until fellow runner Will Baker sees her vanish into thin
air. Will promises secrecy and help, and Sam begins to fall in love.
Together, the two discover there are worse things than being a scientific curiosity. Someone’s been killing people who possess Sam's gene. A mysterious man from France sends letters that offer hope for safety, but also reveal a sinister connection with Nazi experiments.
The more time Sam spends with Will, the less she can imagine life without him. When Sam uncovers secrets from her past, she must choose between keeping Will in her life or keeping Will safe.

Rant:
Ugh, all this sexual tension oozing from the kindle screen is smothering me. Honestly, I just wanted to shove their faces together the entire book(yes, I forget both of their names. be quiet)
“For the record, chocolate’s a pretty decent antidote for unrequited love.”
This-I can honestly
say- is not what I was expecting at all. At. All. I expected some sort
of mermaid vanishing act but nooooo. The author made what they could do
into a disease: Rippler's. Hence, the title of the book. (Light bulb
Moment)
The scientist sister was my one of my favorite characters in the book, coming in right after the main girl and guy.
The use of description in this book was really well distributed, if you know what I mean. You don't? Okay, well you know how some book describe every single detail. Leaving nothing at all for the imagination. That annoys the crap out of me. Grrrrr
The things that triggers Rippler's was all the calming, happy stuff (which I found really cool)
Uhm. Okay I loved how the death of her mother and friend was incorporated into the overall syndrome. Don't know what I mean? No? It's okay, I didn't expect you to. *whisper: you should probably read the book and see what I mean*
Hehe. Walking through walls
Gwyn (is that how its spelled) I felt like she betrayed her even though, if I were her, I probably would have done the same thing. This is a series, so I guess we'll see how that turns out. Maybe.
The only thing that annoyed me really was the ending. It wasn't bad, it was just unfinished. It didn't make me want to read the next one. It felt like an unfinished finish.

“Then like gravity, or maybe like magnets, our lips met again because they had to. And in that touch it felt like I was buried treasure he’d crossed seven seas to claim. I couldn’t feel the edges of my own body anymore; I was melting into his.”
See that quote above? Yeah as soon as they kissed she went poof which I found hilarious. Serious, I almost peed my pants laughing.
