~GUYS, I'm a featured blogger this week!! How cool is that. There might have been some dancing when I saw the tweet...~
Le Question....well actually Le Share: Share something you've learned about book blogging or blogging in general in the last month.
My answer: It's time to get wise. *pulls out philosophy book for tips* Okay, I've learned a lot about blogging in the past month. Actually, I think I've learned more last month than I have my entire blogging career. Which isn't that long but still...
I've learned to comment on other people's blog and not just comment back. I know this is a no brainer for lots of you...but hey..this is a judge free zone. Also, I learned that having lots of scheduled post makes my life like a thousand times more stress free. I like less stress since I'm like the queen of stressing out and school starts back up on the 26th. *takes a deep breath*
So there you go. A few things I've learned.
What have y'all learned? Any suggestions to be a better blogger?
Jackie
Congrats on the feature! I agree about scheduling ahead. I try my best to go a minimum of a week out. Definitely less stressful :) Happy Friday! New bloglovin follower.

Meredith’s Musings
Meredith I try to also have my tour posts scheduled a week before it's due, or I'd have the bulk of the information up then I just gotta add my review. Like you said, it's so much less stressful.
DeleteHi! New Follower. What I've learned is not to let others dictate my review schedule. Sometimes I'm "too nice" when instead I just need to stick to my rules I have set up. http://bookcovereviews.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI like your lessons. I am a new blogger and I like when I have a few set up to go so I don't have to feel pressured to write a new post for tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI have learned that I don't need to post every day. I find my writing suffers when I am pressured and rushed.
New follower through GFC, I'll put up my FF post tomorrow.
I definitely agree with you. Cuing up posts ahead of time is absolutely a life saver. My target would be to cue up 10-20 posts so I can breathe for a long time. :D
ReplyDeleteNew follower on twitter and bloglovin.

I know what you mean about scheduling posts! That does make things so much easier!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being Featured this week!! Those are great lessons...I had to get over my fear of commenting on blogs. I kept thinking 'oh, they don't care what I have to say'. But then I realized how much I enjoy comments and that other bloggers probably felt that way too. :) And having scheduled posts does equal much less stress...which is always GREAT!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday! I'm a new Bloglovin & GFC follower.
I'm with you on the commenting thing...totally! Thanks for stopping by my F&F. Following you on Bloglovin'.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the feature! I've been commenting much more than I used to; it definitely got easier with time and is now like second nature. Thanks for stopping by my FF. GFC & Bloglovin follower

Congrats on the feature!! Yeah, going out and commenting on other people's blogs is really what makes the whole thing work. I find it's a fun way to have a little down time, actually. :) And I'm a super-stressed person too...I should probably try scheduled posts.
ReplyDeleteAlso, now that I've finished it--here’s my FF. :) (New follower.)

Congrats on Feature :)
ReplyDeleteI try so hard to schedule everything. I plan a day to sit and set up posts ahead of time. Sometimes I get so stressed I don't get a chance to.=, but Im working on it
I am GUILTY of reading peoples blogs and not commenting. People would be surprised at how many I read and not comment. I retweet them but not comment. Really need to do that more often :)

I love your blog title "No Bent Spines". That is such a pet peeve of mine. I can't stand when a book is mistreated. Just sayin'. LOL I have learned too that a general rule of thumb is to always reply to comments left on your page. Followers aren't too happy when they are ignored. I foolowed you via Bloglovin'. :)

Congratulations on being a featured blogger! Must be exciting :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to reading other people's replies on this topic cos so much to learn! There's so much that I've learnt from blogging but like yo, I think that the scheduling posts is fantastic, I'm trying to have my blog tour posts done a week before it's due to be posted so I'm not rushing around or running late, I had a few teething problems at the start (delayed for tours) but alas I'm hoping I've finally found my balance.
