There is a war going on between the night humans. Sides have been taken and lines are not crossed. Four main clans of night humans are struggling for control of the night. Divided into two sides, clans Baku and Tengu have been at war for centuries with the clans Dearg-dul and Lycan. That is, until Arianna Grace finds out the truth; she’s the bridge of peace between the two sides. But not everyone wants peace. With the night humans divided, Arianna is now a pawn in the war between them. She must choose a side—her mother’s family or her father’s—and for once in her life, decide her own fate.

 

Okay. Wow. This book. It's amazing what can happen behind the pages. Blue Eyes has my mind blow. At first I thought Arianna was a little too innocent, but now after I've had some time to let it all sink it, it actually worked for her. I mean, her ENTIRE world changed in a matter of hours. She suddenly had to deal with being a night human, and having not just one, but two types of blood in her. And she's the one of the legends. 

Dude, that is a whole freaking lot to deal with. I think I would have a mental break down.

I'll talk situations after I talk a bit about the testosterone in this novel, because, believe me, there was A LOT.

Turner: At first I really, really didn't like him. He gave me a yucky feeling. The whole skipping school bad boy persona just DID NOT float my boat. Then....you got to hear a bit of his thoughts...and...my stomach got butterflies and did quite a few flip flops. I mean.....It's SO ADORABLE! He KNOWS he can't be with her...so he's content just to be beside her. Forever. And watch her grow into a young woman and discover who she is. All while she is developing feelings for him. AND THEY CAN'T BE TOGETHER. WHY? CRUEL, CRUEL WORLD?!? He holds her close to his heart (literally) and lets the sound of his heart lull her to sleep. How sweet and romantic and and and and and...THEY CAN'T BE TOGETHER. But he's content just to Be With Her. Okay, next boy.

Devin: I wanted to like him. She proposed marriage to him when she was like 5. How cute is that? But he was just so...warm...and ...warm. He wasn't rude or mean or like REALLY affectionate. I mean he kissed her. And told her he loved her. But after that he just didn't even try to be with her. At least Andrew and Turner tried even though they both couldn't be with her. AT LEAST THEY TRIED! I really did what to like him...but he was just..him. Overly protective and sweet and indifferent and...UGH boys are just so FRUSTRATING -_- He was always the one to save her. Always. Knight and shining armor? 

 “At the end of the week, you told me that you were going on a long trip, but someday you would come back and marry me.”

Arianna giggled. “Did I really say that?” she asked, mortified at her bold younger self.

“Yes, but I suppose it doesn’t count if you don’t remember. Oh yeah, not to mention the fact you told two of the butlers, three maids, and your favorite cook you wanted to marry them also”

Andrew: How horrible. I like him more than Devin and I knew him for like two chapters. This dilemma makes me feel a tad bit guilty. Just a tad. I think he honestly cares for her. I think he really loves her...or could, given time. Why does everyone know her before she does them? I dunno. I just have a good feeling about him.

The Actual Story Line Beside the Love Square...maybe Pentagon:

She's here to save the world!!! Super vampire and albino with awesome powers!!! That get's a weight off my shoulders..I don't know about y'all but I still have a lot of books to read and if the world ends then I'm done for. Arianna, through this entire book is learning what it means to love, to sacrifice, to be your True Self, to be loved. She's a leader with a need to be taught the way. She's confused but manages to stay brave. Although she annoys me in a few scenes, generally, I think she's an awesome character who deserves some kind of award. Seriously. When you were sixteen, you had to worry about passing Spanish or Math, she has to worry about not dying and not killing anybody on her quest for truth.
And that's is a heck of a lot harder than it seems.
Seriously.

Overall this books was short,sweet, well written, and just what I needed.
