Bloomsbury Boldly Bookish Wrap Up + #Giveaways

Texas Boldly Bookish Stop Recap

So yesterday was kind of awesome. I got to meet the wonderful Bloomsbury Boldly Bookish authors. Tiffany, Emery, Trish and Annie were SO NICE. The mutual love over Leah Raeder's Black Iris (AND MY EXTREME JEALOUSLY WITH EMERY ALREADY HAVING A COPY OF CAM GIRL) was a fan girl worthy moment.

Oh yeah, and then there was that time where Tiffany (she wrote Hold Me Like a Breath, the crime family retelling of The Princess and The Pea) said I looked like a dancer. *blushes*

So those are the tweets. Before that though, there was an author + blogger meet up at this adorable Italian restaurant called Bucca Di Beppo which served awesome people. The people at Bloomsbury were so nice and let me take my friend Emma with me to the dinner. Nicole, who I learned is the manager for the Frisco B&N helped me out a whole bunch with the emailing back and forth. She's just a fountain of information. It's quite lovely. *waves if you ever read this* I would just like to say thank you soooo much for putting up with all my questions.

I loved hearing all the all too amusing stories the ladies had about the tour (embarrassing things like wrong flights, missing snacks and super embarrassing texts to wrong numbers *muffles laughter*) and then thing like going to meet the drag queens of Emery's dreams. And being given one of their earrings and being told not to change for anyone. Not even her life coach. (she doesn't have a life coach, yet)

From left to right it's Emery, then Annie (AC), Trish and finally Tiffany. We were all at Bucca in this picture and can I just say again it was so much fun. Like seriously. It was fantastic. This was something- the resturant- was something I honestly never thought I'd have the chance to do because I am a small blog and a young blogger. So when I got the email from Nicole with the invitation I may have screamed and cried a little and then fan-girled a whole lot. Oh yeah, and then I responded yes to the invite.

And look! There's Mary who was the moderator for the chat. She did a fantastic job. I though the question about considering themselves feminist authors was such a good question to ask. And I loved all their answers. Honestly, by the end of the event all together I considered Emery my spirit animal. All her answers were on point. Especially her choice as Kanye / Emma Stone as the actor to play her life. And her and her husband's obsession with queens.
